Felt Fun

I have been busy with wool felt that I got from Laura and Peter over at Twist Fibre Craft. First I made a small doll using the Black Apple Doll Pattern from Martha Stewart's website and an adaptation of the dress from the pattern by Mimi Kirchner on The Purl Bee Blog. I love how this doll turned out. She is much smaller than the doll I made for the Craft Hope project (so it was quite hard to turn the arms and legs round the right way) but cute with it.

I also made a sample for the shop so that they can show customers the types of things that the felt can be used for. I made another tree mobile, similar to the one that I dreamt up for the Elsie Marley Mobile Swap, but this one was an apple tree as opposed to an acorn tree. Made from 2 pieces of felt hand embroidered and stitched together, with circles cut out where the little red apples dangle.....

I have a soft spot for trees- especially apple trees! This one is just gorgeous...just wondering if your journal pages had arrived yet? Hope they haven't gone missing in transit...
