Third Annual Ornament Swap and More

I have started to receive my ornaments as part of the Third Annual Ornament Swap - 10 hand-made decorations are winging their way across the world to my door. So far I have received 4 and managed to photograph 2......

A needle felted snowman by Nysa

Beautiful laser cut glitter deer by Wynn Studios....

I have also been making some new decorations to give to people.....gingerbread men based on  a set of cookie cutters that I have and Shrek's little ginger friend..... Christmas trees and more...all hand cut, hand stitched (including each individual green stripe on the elf's clothing) and so soft...the wool felt squares that I got in Paris from La Droguerie and Entree Des Fournissuers along with the collection I was given by Beth over at Red Yarn  are all beautiful!

I loved making the little sweeties for the gingerbread men- 2 pieces of felt, one slightly shorter than the other, the shorter laid inside the longer and then rolled together and stitched.

Christmas Decoration Swap

I took part in the 3rd Annual Ornament swap organised by Freshly Blended and Cake and Pie. I took part last year and received a lot of great ornaments and was excited to take part again this year. I managed to get my ornaments sent out on the final (I'm better working under pressure and having 2 weeks of holiday in the middle of it all didn't help) and I have started receiving my ornaments!! This year I made felt trees again - slightly different to last years...

This year I made little stuffed trees with bright pink spiral like decorations on them, pink running stitch and thread to hang them with....

Sorry it's not the best photo!

Woollie - Third Annual Ornament Swap

I've signed up for Freshly Blended and Cake & Pie's 3rd annual holiday ornament swap. I should receive my list of partners tomorrow and decorations need to be sent out by the 10th of December. I have an idea but still need to work out how to do it....I may post teasers here as I progress.

Last year I got some really great ornaments so I am looking forward to this years swap!

Last year's creations!

And a little reminder (as if we should need it) of all those who fought and continue to fight.....

WOOLLIE - CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT EXCHANGE

I have received a number of ornaments from the
2nd Annual Holiday Ornament Exchange organised by Cake and Pie and Freshly Blended so I thought it was my turn to do a little show and tell on my contribution to the exchange:

Little ice blue Christmas trees made from felt bought in Paris, knitted tinsel made from Rowan Kid Silk Haze and little glass seed beads. They were supposed to be stuffed but since they needed to be posted from the UK to Singapore, New Zealand and Australia I realised that it would be easier to not stuff them and that they stood up very well on their own without the stuffing, so off they went in their little parcels across the ocean!!

WOOLLIE

I have been taking part in Cake and Pie's and Freshly Blended's Christmas decoration swap - over 600 crafters all over the world swapping decorations - I sent 4 to Australia, 2 to Singapore, 1 to New Zealand and I still have one to send to England. So far I have received 3 beautiful decorations in return!!

WOOLLIE

My little parcel arrived at it's chosen destination - the original home of my very first happy swap in blogland! So now I can reveal what my recent WIPs have been about - hand embroidered baby blankets - snugglies, sookies whatever you want to call them - made from machine washed lambswool pre-felt, so soft and so white! Not sure how long they will stay clean in the hands of small children!

Here's a little of the detail - what's under the cloud? Raindrops of course!!
