I love to create but I have never considered myself to be creative. I can follow a pattern but I have never considered myself to be creative. I am trying to change that. To do so, I need to have more confidence in my eye, my mind and my ability to see outside the box. I need to see other people's ideas and take them to a completely different level, meld lots of ideas including my own to create something new..... update: I think that this feeling of low creativity stems from school days when art was painting and drawing. If you asked me to paint and draw something it would end up looking like a stick character.....art today incorporates so much more at school.....kids get to experience all sorts of mediums and perhaps many more of us would find our niche so much earlier these days. Confidence also has a lot to do with it's almost a recognised part of the Scottish psyche, a lack of confidence.
So my latest creation is a copy, but the medium is completely different and the inspiration was real....seen by my own eyes and a decision was made to create in its likeness. I think it turned out well......but I am not sure anyone will ever have seen such a completely pink tree before ;o)
Here's the inspiration.....I am not sure who the drawing is by (I'm afraid it's in Japanese) but I loved it.
Here's my little felted cherry blossom tree mobile, embroidered cherry blossoms and little pink blossoms falling like snow....
My corner view week - out of my back door - is below!

You--not creative? You've got to be kidding! Sam's "Three Pigs" blanket is evidence to the contrary! Funny how we often underestimate our talents. You are WAY creative!
Oh, my goodness... that's so cute!! Great job!
There's no way you can say you're not creative. Your projects are all so cute and original -- I love all of your cute tree mobiles and the fact that you tie fairy tales into your work!
