Woollie Weekend

It was a busy weekend here - a friend's hen weekend (wedding is in 2 weeks) so I was out and about a lot! We had planned a hike on Saturday but the weather was just too hideous for hiking so we ended up swimming, having a sauna etc before lunch and then off to see Mamma Mia at the conema. Dinner in Glasgow was fun though, 13 of us altogether.

Sunday after we managed to get up we headed through to Edinburgh. The Festival is on and it was Fringe Sunday on the Meadows, where lots of the acts from the Fringe Festival come to perform for free. It was sunny when we arrived and about 30 minutes later the heavens opened......here we see a typical summer afternoon of entertainment.....

Fringe Sunday, Arthur's Seat

On the knitting front, my Ravelympics knitting is coming on! The heats are over and the back is finished, now on to the semi-final - the left front! The pattern is Baby Matinee Jacket from Debbie Bliss, the yarn Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino, it's so lovely to knit with! My friends Louise and Laurence are also progressing with their knitting - in fact if you check out Louise's blog she has finished her shawl relay already!

Well done Diane, your jacket looks very cute. I finished my shawl on Sunday evening.
I am glad we didn't go to Edinburgh on Sunday, the weather was much better here in Dundee!

Way to go on your Ravelympics entry! :) I wasn't brave enough to join in this year. Maybe the next time they do it (in oh... 4 years) I'll be more prepared LOL!!! :)

Take care!

Yeah, go Di!!!! I love that color of blue... the sweater is just perfect. You always have the best weekends too, even with rain! Thanks for your nice comments today!! I added a note to that post... we didn't have air conditioning this morning and it is hot today! Now a storm is coming again. We missed a concert on Sunday evening because of rain. What are your plans this weekend?
