WOOLLIE

I can finally post some pictures of a couple of the gifts that I made for Christmas - now that they have been gifted and opened!

The orange has been posted before but as it has now made it's way to a friend's baby as part of her Christmas I will repost it here - a knitted orange with 3 dried peas in a little plastic tub inside to make it rattle! Apparently it was well received by the 7 month old!

OK I will also have to admit that I didn't do a lot of the making on the bags (thanks Andrea!) but I did help with the cutting, tying ends etc. The fabric is the important part - first of all the fish are for my friend Mariana as she works with fish and her boss (like one of the fish on the fabric) is called Robert and secondly, the pink one for my friend Ally as her husband owns a camper van and they like to go off camping!

The pincushion was also for Ally, inspired by the divets of grass that you see lying about the golf course and my love of "jelly" coloured Kid Silk Haze from Rowan - perhaps my favourite yarn ever!

I love that orange! I wonder if I could crochet an orange.. (I haven't learned to knit yet - in fact I just learned to crochet.) So, cute.

WOW, they're all brilliant! Love the bobbly orange and the tufty grass. Do you have any close-up shots of the fish fabric? I'm quite intrigued and excited by it!

Thanks for your link to Du Pareil au Meme-- it says they have worldwide shipping and their clothes are really cute! (too bad the us dollar isn't worth as much!). I may have to do some shopping for spring clothes! :)

Came here via The Crafty SHrimp when I saw your Tentsmuir comment. I used to live in Tayport and have spent quite a few happy afternoons wandering about in the forrest/on the beach.
