WOOLLIE WEEKEND

It's been a great weekend of crafting, Christmas and friends!

Yesterday we went to knitting group in Newburgh - we ate cakes made by Allyson,
Laurence and Louise, we watched what other people were knitting, including Andrea's scarf -

and we gave
Peter and Laura that run the knitting group for us, the poinsettia wreath that we had been making for them for the past few weeks!

After knitting group I headed home to spend some time with my parents - that was a fun afternoon - I had planned a relaxing afternoon of knitting, and after delivering some Christmas cards with my mum we came home for just that - except the world had other plans - a power cut (just in our street, in fact just in a few houses in our street) that lasted 4 hours and we were left in a world of candles and torches!!

I finally escaped to my friends tree decorating party in Edinburgh - a really nice night, when not too many bizarre things ended up on the tree (a Christmas tradition to see how many things we can hide from Gary in his Christmas tree!) - this time just some satsuma peel, a cork, 3 walnuts and a piece of garlic bread!!

Back home today I had some friends round for gluwhein and german cookies - it was a nice afternoon, freezing cold outside but my home full of friends bringing warmth!

Looking very festive in your part of the world! I always secretly love power outages for all the candles and coziness!

Your friends sound like so much fun! And I think that garlic bread is going to be a give-away as to it's existence!!! Stay warm :)

Sounds like you had som wonderful days with friends and family!

Garlic bread in the tree??? That's evil; almost "scroogeish" ;-)

I feel all Christmassy now with all this talk of gluhwein :) Love the poinsettia wreath.

p.s. 1) how on earth do you hide garlic bread in a Christmas tree? Was it dressed up as an angel?
2) did it not smell?

Are those your parents? You must be six. Just very precocious...

I have been checking in to see you (and I have you in my Bloglines feeds, of course), but I don't celebrate these holidays...

Just wanted to say hi! :)
