Corner View - Personal Style - Girl but not Girly!

This week's Corner View is all about personal style. I tried all week to take photos of what I was wearing but since it hardly got light all week all the photos I took looked like I was wearing black all the time....wait.....I do wear black a lot....

I do know what I like and what suits me, I have a slightly quirky, but not way out there sense of dress....my biggest issue being that I struggle to wear more that 2 colours at once...slight phobia about wearing too many colours - so usually it's black with some other colour - blue jeans, purple cord dresses, grey Rob Ryan skirts from Clothkits....in fact when I look closely at my wardrobe there's an awful lot of Gap....not sure that makes me quirky at all!

Along with my Clothkits skirt (which I managed to persuade someone to make for me for a bottle of wine and some homemade shortbread) my favourite purchases this winter have been a beautiful navy raincoat from French designer Lilith and my Camper slippers.....so warm, so comfy...made me a slipper wearer..

Oh I LOVE Lilith!!! We have one of her shops here in Berkeley (CA) and I think she's a genius... I am also drooling over the fact you have a Rob Ryan skirt... LOVE your style Di :^)

Love the slippers. They look cozy and warm yet workable. And for a non girly girl, you're heading in that direction with their color! :o)

What is a Clothkit skirt? I'll have to Google it! I'm so designer unconscious I'm in the dark about much of the style posts today!

Thank you for introducing me to Lilith, fabulous clothes! When it comes to colour I'm afraid it works the other way around for me, I seem unable to wear less than three colours :)

Lovely slippers...haven´t seen them here. I am a fan of Camper shoes...they are just the ones I need, to walk a lot, quite flat and different

Those Camper slippers look great. My toes are freezing so I could do with slipping them on right now!

Hahahaha...I have just that same "problem". When I wear too much colour I get really really uncomfortable. I do like the (colour of) the slipper though.

I nearly bought those same ones while in barça for the xmas break (only in cherry red)!!! but ended up stopping myself. why? why? why, oh bloody why?

sounds like I'd like your style, girl. right, I cannot make stuff but for homemade shortbread and wine I could learn quickly. :)

(I skipped cv this week but the lack of light didn't spare us over here either. what is that about? I want the sun. now.)

I love Camper. Never new they had woolen slippers. Now I know what to wish for next Christmas...if I can wait. Perhaps I can find someone on sale? That pink is lovable!
