Corner View - Water
Here in Scotland water is something we know a lot about.....it surrounds our island country and it is often to be found falling from the sky! We live with the constant threat of water all around us.....we have so many names of rain....like the Inuit and snow. Think of smirr, the soft mist of rain that leaves you soaked, but is so gentle you are not even sure it is worth putting up the umbrella. Or think of a dreich day, one that is grey and wet or being drookit.....soaked to the skin!
Can you see the rain?
The sea is another always present reminder of water. Indeed, I am not sure I could live far from the sea....I love to walk on the beach, to hear the waves crashing on the rocks, to smell the seaweed and to hear the seagulls.....
Pittenweem
Or perhaps the most famous water of all - the Gaelic uisge'beah - water of life, otherwise known as whisky! Scotland's most famous export.....
Distillery - Islay
Saligo Bay, Islay - more water!

I can see the rain and the beautiful places you show us !!! I like the way water is used in distilleries !!! ;) even if I only drink... water ;)
great photo's and great post.
I love the smell of the sea too.
Funny! Love your cute little mummy in the last post. So cute!
Beautiful water where you are, I love the way you describe being surrounded by it;
the way the line between water and land seems so rugged and untouched in your cornerviews.
Thanks for the pictures.. they sooo take me back to my childhood. I love the smell of beaches up there too, they just don't smell quite the same on this side of the world. I used to love popping the seaweed! I remember there was a big Bell's distillery in Cowdenbeath or Dumfermline???
Great post!!! Thx.
Gorgeous shots! What a beautiful blog - your banner is stunning!!
wow, great views!
Hahaha -- you do indeed have a lot of water in Scotland! Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures!
This pictures are so beautiful. Water and sky add to each other's beauty, I think.
I visited a Scottish distillery almost ten years ago. Very interesting.
Some amazing shots of water!
Thanks for the vocab, they will now be in constant use by me, here in our soggy coastal town. Peace and love. Anna
