Woollie Weekend

Almost the end of the weekend again! Why does it always go so fast when the week at work goes so slowly??? Can anyone explain it to me?

Once again the weekend was full of friends and eating...the pub after work on Friday (Drouthy Neebors) for one of the best burgers I have had in a long time - definitely homemade, tomato salsa, chunky chips and salad...yum! Saturday morning I went to knitting group over at Twist before heading to Aberdeen to spend the night with friends in Aberdeen - 9 of us altogether. Lots of food was eaten (our hosts were most gracious!) Then this morning we headed to Balmedie Beach, just north of Aberdeen, to ensure any cobwebs that may have been lurking around quiet corners of our brain were blown away - a bracing walk, beautiful light through the clouds making the water sparkle, the waves crashing against the shore and the foam being whipped along the beach......

We thought we'd better visit now, before a recently approved development fronted by Donald Trump to build 2 world-class golf courses (oh and a hotel, 500 houses, 950 high rise timeshare flats etc) encroaching onto the dunes, one of the best mobile sand dune networks in the UK. Money and jobs always seem to win.....

There has also been a little knitting going on, but unfortunately I can't give away too much because it is the start of my Christmas knitting, but here's a few "bits"! You'll have to wait until after Christmas before I can show you!!

You knit so beautifully, makes me want to take it up again! But it is so many years since I knitted anything... you have a real talent though - I always found it a bit of a chore...

I can't wait to see what you're doing!!!! OOhhh that makes me so mad about Trump's golf course... as if we need yet another one!!! Sooo mad! What's wrong with these people? Especially since he doesn't even live in your country. What a jerk!

Hi Di!
Thank you so much for the warm welcome baco to blogland and for the "congratulations" for our baby Astrid :-)

I see you have to Spain this summer, isn't Granada just beautiful! It's one of my favourite cities in Spain. I'm glad you enjoyed it too :-)

Looking forward to get back on track and seeing your creative creations again. Hugs from Norway!
