Woollie Sock
I have been doing a little knitting this week - I have been making a sock, a gum boot sock from Patons 200 year anniversay book. I've done the cuff, the ankle, turned the heel, shaped the instep now just the foot/toe to complete - oh and then another entire sock!! This is when the problems may start - secondsockitis is a real disease! I swear and I have suffered from it in the past!
It's for a colleague at work who has been asking for about 2 years if I would knit him socks. The mum of one of his friends used to knit socks for him but she died a few years back so he hasn't had any new ones for a while....I can only resist the request for so long....

That's a pretty blue colorway. Good luck with Sock #2.
I can relate to secondsockitis, sometimes when I am knitting a sweater I get sleeveitis, I just loathe doing that second sleeve!
:)) do you know many people who have exactly two identic feet??
Mine have half a number difference, hehee.
Very nice. I hope to see the finished sock on Wednesday!
Looks good!
I have a good advise... ALWAYS start with sock number 2 (and sleeve and glove and such), it makes it much easier ;)
your sock is looking really good! you're a kind friend, to make those for your work colleague. sock-knitting can be time consuming! (at least, it is for me...)
I think my second sock-itis is terminal this time. I've misplaced the other skein of yarn for my latest pair. Cannot find it anywhere.
Love that color! I love to knit, and have been working the sticks for some years, but am still working on mastering the knitting of socks...Happy crafting ((HUGS))
I don't know anyone who likes to do the second sock! I wish you could teach me how to do a heel. I've only done that one pair that had ribbing on circular needles. I love this color of blue... very nice... lucky guy!!!
