Twist on Tour

Imagine having a knitting shop just show up in your garden..... this is just what happened in Louise's garden on Sunday - the very first Twist on Tour van outing. Twist Fibre Craft came to our knitting group BBQ!

Laura and Peter have just bought a van to take their woollie goodness around the country to events and shows and they visited our BBQ because we are all such good customers and they got to try out the van layout etc. It's big enough to get in the back and wander about, it was just like being in their shop except it was in Louise's front garden!

We all had a great afternoon, learned a lot about each other! Louise suggested everyone bring something to put on the BBQ and she was going to provide the salads and bread. By the time the first 10 people had turned up we had 4 sausages, 2 burgers, 4 portobello mushrooms and a bunch of asparagus to go on the BBQ and about 10 desserts (I took pear and chocolate tart), we obviously like our desserts....it turned into a cake fest. Since it was showery and cold outside we actually sat inside and ate and knitted. We only ventured out to do a spot of grilling (me) and shopping (everyone).

More posts about Twist on Tour can be found here and here! Thank you Louise for having us all!

From the pictures below you can see where I am at my happiest!

hehe, yes maybe we should just call it afternoon tea (i.e. cakes!) next time. And I'll order in some warmer weather.

You did such a fabulous job at all your floor-based activities (and elsewhere!), thanks for all your help.

Sounds like a ton of fun (and almost as much dessert!).

I love being on the ground too (though I hate getting up - it seem to get harder)...

Such a nice day you had...when there is a lot of cake there is a lot of joy ;) A pear and chocolate tart! Wow, much better than the yogurt that I had in my lunch! xox
