Just Woollie

I have been crafting, I promise. Not prolifically but at least I feel like I have been making small steps towards productivity.....

I needle felted some trees recently using prefelt for the background and icelandic wool for the actual picture, mixing 2 shades of green for the foliage and 2 shades of brown for the trunk.  The smallest one, about 7cm tall and 5cm wide became a brooch for my colleague. I finally backed the tree and added the clasp last night, so now the brooch has gone to it's new owner.

I have plans to needle felt aspen trees, inspired by my trip to Rocky Mountain National Park last year - we'll see if they turn out well. And if anyone has any ideas how I can make it sound like the apsen quaking.......

Ha! I have no idea about the quaking part! I love aspens though. It's too bad I didn't know you last year... you could have stopped in to visit! I like your little pin!

Aww, pretty little tree :) The two shades of green go very nicely together. Talking of trees I think a visit to the cocoa tree might be necessary next time I'm in Scotland, it looks well worth the trip.
