Woollie Finish!
Finally the horse is finished - 9 months from start to finish although the knitting actually only took about 2 weeks, the procrastinating took a while longer. As usual my knitting skills outshine my sewing skills and whilst the horse looks ok it is not perfect (and I am a bit of a perfectionist). I had such difficulty sewing the legs on....in fact they were sewn on, cut off and sewn on a number of times.
It also seems funny to have used acrylic wool for the body and then used Rowan Kidsilk Haze to make the mane - sort of defeats the purpose of making the body machine washable! But I just loved the blue colour of the kidsilk haze so had to use it.
I must admit I am happy with the way he turned out - sort of sad looking but entirely loveable!

Well Done!
Oh, its perfect, Di! Very cuddly!
absolutely loveable...especially those knobbly knees!
So perfect!! I will have to show my daughter and then she'll ask if you are making them to sell... and I'll have to disappoint her because I think I know what you'd say!!!! ;) But he is pretty awesome!!
What a great horse - I love his knees -

I like him very much. He reminds me of the Kelpie of old tales, you know mystic and beautiful and with hidden layers. Although he must be a nice kelpie if he lives with you (and doesn't try to lure you into deep lakes).
Oh yes, loveable indeed!
And only 9 months gestation? Why, that's perfectly acceptable!
:)
fantastic!
i especially love those legs!!!
I love the horse! It looks perfect to me! The colour of the mane is gorgeous!
He's amazing, worth the wait I'd say!
Eek! It's absolutely adorable! I love the knobby knees.
Too cute...the sweet face.
beautiful and amazing! I have a hard enough time with scarves, so pretty sure there will be no horses in my future.
Adorable...I think he's a bit sad because he needs another horse to play with!
Oh! I love him! This horse has been on my list since you sent me the book, but I have not yet gotten to it- I'll have to now! Nice work.
Wow! That's really impressive! I love the nobby knees.
