WOOLLIE
I have been busy working on some projects in the last week. You've seen elements of them already but now they are complete (well almost because I have some additional plans for the cloud!)
Cloud
I cannot take the credit for the idea of the cloud - I first spied it in Craftzine Magazine a couple of months ago and was intrigued to find out who had designed it. Over to Anna at MochiMochi Land who is the greatest designer of cuteness in knitting I've seen! My cloud I decided to felt and add a few additions too.
The cloud is also for my friend's baby - as a mobile - I added a silver lining as perhaps a cloud with raindrops over a baby's bed may be a little depressing - of course it is a Scottish baby so it is the type of weather he/she will have to get used to!!!
Then Anna appeared in the Fall edition of Knitty with her adorable pattern for the woodins and their log home. I've shown you the partially knitted log, but now it has also been felted, stuffed and sewn together! Only the woodins to go. Talking of the woodins - I started the first one the other lunchtime - I felt like I was entering an extreme knitting competition. Both of the little legs are knitted separately in the round and then in one row you join them together - so at a certain point I had 7 DPNs on the go at one time........ I should have got a photo of that - perhaps next time my camera will be at the ready!

The log is amazing! (the pic looks a bit funny though). hehehe.
I love the clouds, I like them better than the knitted ones, though I often think felting is a waste of lovely yarn. Not this time though!
It is the cutest log I have ever seen. We are still enjoying the fruits of your knitting labour, Gracie has inherited all of Greta's hats and people always comment on how lovely they are. It is such fun to see what you are up to. Kri
I LOOOOVE that log with its inhabitants ;-) Sooooo cute!
I think that it is a rare gift alway to be able to see the silver lining in the clouds, so your beautiful little rain could should be just spot on!

So adorable - the clouds and the log!
Oh I just love that log! What fun for kids.
That log is perfect.
They're both cute, Di! I love the little chipmunk peeking out of the log.
I love these presents... very original!!
Those clouds are so cute. What a good idea; a cloud mobile that alway lets you see the sky...
And the log, now that's just too funny. A knitted log! :-)
Nice work! Okay, you've inspired me to take a knitting class. I really would love to learn how to felt things.
Both are totally adorable!!! You're so good! They will love them. What are you going to do for your birthday this year???!!! (there, the big day is "out of the bag"!!!!)
Lovely log and creative cloud .... how clever you are - and obviously a very generous gift-giver!
The log is so sweet! And it's great to see that Betty is having some fun adventures at your house- she looks pretty happy!
the cloud is just gorgeous and will make a beautiful mobile!
Love the cloud and the log!
