100th POST PARTY and A GIVEAWAY

Well, who would have imagined that I would make it to 100!! But here I am, my 100th post. So I thought I should make it WOOLLIE as there have been a lot of WANDERING posts around here recently but I decided it should just be a 100th post giveaway instead - in true blooger style.

I started this blog way back in January not knowing what to expect - really I wanted to let friends far and near know what I was up to and to record my woollie creations somewhere. Little did I know I would meet some amazing people through this blog (you know who you are), get involved in an array of projects with other bloggers all over the place and be inspired to create and think, photo projects, journal projects, button swaps and private swaps!!

So if you leave a comment here I will give a small gift (see below) to the first name out of the hat on Saturday. My gift is one of my hand-embroidered baby blankies (or sookies as we would call them in Scotland) - that little piece of dependence that many children have - and this one cute and soft and covered in little lift up flaps and handles to hold. Made with felted lambswool and embroidered with love! It's about 25cm x 25cm and has a fishy theme! It would make an ideal gift for a friend's baby or your baby!!

So all you lurkers out there leave a comment (and of course all my regular commenters) and I will draw a name on Saturday (I am not assuming I will have hundreds of names like some other giveaways but hey my highest number of comments to date is 20 so lets see if I can beat it!!)

Join in the post party!!

Congratulations on your 100th post!

I enjoy your posts and your pictures. I found your blog during the "elements" photo week and bookmarked it. you always have such interesting things to share: historic gardening, woolly things, travel, and history... not to mention decorating your apartment.

one of my favorite posts- the dolphins playing offshore in the gloaming. I shared that with my family about it.

I've always wanted to visit Scotland, England, and Ireland. now I'm determined.

Happy 100 posts!!

The stitching on the sookie is just gorgeous; much too lovely a creation for mopping up baby spills in my opinion!

(Please don't enter me for your competition though, as I don't have a baby or know of one that's expected soon. I just wanted to join the posting party!!)

Your blanket is really gorgeous! I feel kind of bad that I've dropped in for the first time on a contest entry. I'm not so much a lurker, as I am late to arrive :-) I will promise to be around more often to see what wonders come of those knitting needles of yours!

look at all of these lurkers!! big grin. i am afraid i don't have a wee one nor do i know anyone with a wee one, so no need to throw my name in the pile because i'm sure there is somebody who could better use that *beautiful* blanket (woah, that EMBROIDERY! i do have to admit however that i would love to own something with such artistry!). but! i did want to stop by and say how much i enjoy your blog. thank you so much for sharing. i am a terrible blog commenter... i really should comment more.

whew, i think that's all. megxx
